Hotel impression

Hampshire Hotel – Parkzicht Eindhoven is a charming three-star hotel in a peaceful residential area in Eindhoven. The building, with its view over the Stadswandelpark, was built in 1930 as a boarding house for unmarried Philips employees. The residence for 50 young women had a communal living-room and dining room, a lobby with seating, a reading room and a club-room. At that time residents paid 70 guilders a month for board and lodging. During the war the building was occupied by the German air force. After the war it was converted into a hotel.

"A return visit."
Stayed here on a relatively regular basis 20 + years ago, loved it. Still great, although the food has changed. No nice game pot luck menu any more. However the food is great, the staff are great. Overall Avery pleasant nostalgic stay for me...

"Friendly hotel in calm area for ok price"
Stayed here with friends for 1 night in simple double room, that was recently renovated. Hotel rooms in front of our room being renovated, but this didn't cause any issues or noise during our stay. We had to be close by and did not go to city center, so cannot judge location for other people. Positive side: -Hotel people were very friendly. -Nice simple room with all you need. -Good bed -Clean room and bathroom (although not that new even if recently renovated). -Sufficient space -Free parking in front of hotel good breakfast Less good: -Very empty pillow -No elevator -Bar closes early

"great service in a very nice ambiance"
For me this hotel always is the first to check if available on my trips to my home town (I live abroad). Super friendly and professional service, good restaurant and bar and not to forget very comfortable hotel rooms. Also the surrounding close opposite a big park and on walking distance to city centre is great. Easy to reach by car straight next to the inner ring road of Eindhoven.

"Nice place to stay but a little bit noisy"
The hotel is situated in a lovely residential area very close to downtown. We arrived at 9AM but we could not checkin until 2PM. So we had to leave the luggage at reception and come back later. The staff was friendly and gave us an upgrade to a suite. The problem was that the bedroom window was right next to the playground and restaurant. You could clearly hear all noises. Rooms are standard furnished, with coffee and tee machines. Breakfast was also very good.

Everyone knows the figureheads of the city: Football club PSV, Philips and the Van Abbemusem. Eindhoven is currently also the city of design and art, for example in the revitalised area of Strijp-S where shopping is the popular pursuit. Like Urban Shopper on Torenallee, the shop features hosts of different, wonderful, affordable and in particular unique items. Concept store Jannissima is a must, as is Yksi Winkel. Even when Dutch Design Week is not running, visitors can admire amazing furniture, accessories, jewellery and art.

Eindhoven is the home base of the Van Abbemuseum, with an impressive collection of contemporary art to admire, with works by Picasso, Kandinsky and Chagall among others. Anyone wanting to learn more about the history of our country will want to visit the Eindhoven Museum. In this museum you can meet the residents of a village from the iron age, who will be happy to demonstrate how they carried out their trades, in historic garments. Eindhoven is also the location of the DAF Museum. Not only does the DAF Museum have an exceptional collection of items related to the brand, but it is also situated in exactly the spot where DAF’s activities began in 1928. All the museums are within walking distance and are easy to reach from Hampshire Hotel – Parkzicht Eindhoven.
